Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap was first produced in the early 1930's by Bradford chemist Fred Mitchell who realised that the natural lanolin content of wool fat, which kept the hands of local sheep shearers and wool sorters so exceptionally soft, could also be beneficial to delicate complexions and sensitive skins.
A simple and natural product, Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap is still made to Mr. Mitchell's original formula, based on a recipe from the turn of the century and incorporating lanolin from the wool fat as the key ingredient

I like it

It is better at degreasing my hair than head and shoulders. Smells nice too.

Great products you can’t find in stores fair prices.

Love the alum block (although it’s TINY!) and the Mitchell’s Wool Fat soap is wonderful. Would buy again, only in the larger sizes to make up for the shipping (which was a bit slow and pricey). All in all, a good experience and would purchase from SN again! Have a great shave, have a great day! Keep up the good work and God bless! Geo, hang in there. Great soap

This has become my favorite shave soap. To me, it lathers as easily as any cream or soap that I use with no special treatment. I use a badger brush and soak the puck in warm water prior to lathering. I bowl or face lather with equally pleasing results. Post shave feel is excellent, very soft and smooth. Definitely recommend.
