This beautifully designed black and satin chrome plated all brass frame is a heavyweight, smooth shaver. Adjustable Settings: Turn the dial at the bottom of the handle to adjust the blade reveal. The settings go from 1 to 5 with 1 being the mildest, and 5 the most aggressive. Customizable settings accommodate differences in facial hair thickness, skin type, preference and experience level.

Well constructed and the shave is amazing.

Great razor

I like this razor. The adjustments allows me to dial in the perfect shave.

Parker Variant closed comb

I had another Variant, decided to get the Rose Gold version. Excellent razor that I use for travel primarily. Smooth shaving, smooth adjustments. I can even get great shaves on my underarms on lower settings.

Great razor

The rose gold finish and weight if the razor makes it great to use. Had to play with the adjustments to get my preference, but once dialed in it worked well. I own the Parker semi slant as well and they are great razors! Shave Nation is the place to go!

I wish I bought this for my first razor!

This is the third safety razor I’ve purchased. I wish I had bought this first in my safety razor hunt. I have two other good razors but I had all but resigned myself to the thought that the idea of a close shave meant I also had to spend the rest of the day, after shaving, feeling as though I had scraped my face with a brick.
A very ROUGH brick.
Then, a friend introduced me to the idea of an adjustable razor. After that, I found the Variant and bought it. So glad I did. For the very first shave I started at 1 and moved up as I re-lathered. After finishing the shave, I realized that this (my first time using the Parker Variant) was the very best shave I had ever gotten from a safety razor!

I am so glad I bought it. This should be every man’s first safety razor. It may, in fact, ultimately, be the only razor you ever need to buy.
