TOBS Sandalwood Shaving Stick - Same Great TOBS Lather!

This was my first experience using a shaving stick but it was a great one! I used very little product on my wet face to produce a typically smooth and dense TOBS lather - in no time. There was enough lather on my Simpson's T-1 Trafalgar Synthetic Brush - reviewed separately - for several passes and some touch-ups.
I like using a pre-shave with a compatible shave balm, and in this case, a sandalwood fragrance. So I used Proraso Red products both pre and post shave and the result was a nick-free, BBS shave with zero-irritation. The TOBS Sandalwood Shaving Stick (SSS) uses glycerin as its #1 ingredient and is alcohol-free. That, coupled with TOBS quality makes this shaving stick a winner.
The stick comes in a heavy plastic twist-up case with a tight-fitting cap under the screw top. One shave used up next to nothing so I know it will give me many shaves over a long period of time. Despite the price, it's cost-effective, convenient, portable and a perfect travel companion with my other sandalwood shaving products.
Less expensive shaving sticks certainly have their place but in this case, I think you get what you pay for. (Just because I reviewed this product at home doesn't mean I can't also pamper myself with a luxurious, enjoyable shave when I'm away!) The TOBS SSS will definitely be in my travel bag on my next trip!

Great shaving stick.

Very nice smell and easy to use. Trap for beginners like me - if you rub it on your face for 5 minutes and wonder why nothing is happening - it comes with a clear Perspex cap - make sure you remove it first hahaha.
