New! Available in your choice of Bay Rum, Lime, and Sandalwood

Scotsman Alexander Simpson started production of shaving brushes and male grooming ancillaries in 1919 and is widely regarded as a pioneer in the industry. Manufacturing was originally based in the East end of London but later in Clapham. In 1941, following the loss of his factory during the World War II German Luftwaffe blitz, production was moved to the West Country at the famous Nimmer Mill. Today Simpson shaving brushes and associated products are manufactured by Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Limited on the historic Isle of Man. They continue to be produced in the traditional way using hand tied knots by time served, skilled workers.

We are delighted to introduce our new range of Alexander Simpson Est. 1919 post shave balms which have been in development for several months. The wait has certainly been worth it as you will experience after your first application. A vibrant juicy fragrance with cool West Indian Lime heated by hints of Jamaican Ginger & aromatic Lemongrass ensure your skin inherits all that is wonderful from this zingy & fresh scent.

Following your shave apply a small amount of balm into the palm of your hands & gently massage into your face to leave your skin feeling soothed, moisturised and invigorated.

Best balm.

I prefer balms to splashes, and Simpsons makes the best one I have found. Feels good on my face. And has just the right amount of scent, not too strong

Best aftershave balm

This is my favorite aftershave. It feels very good on your skin as you rub it in. And the scent isn't overly strong.

Nice balm

Creamy. Feels good on your face. Not greasy at all. And the scent is pretty light, which I like.

Nice subtle aroma, great consistency

The consistency is similar to that of Cella green shaving balm and thicker than that of the Proraso blue balm. The aroma/scent is pleasant and subtle, different than the Ogallala bay rum aftershaves, which I also like. Black pepper is one of the ingredients and I noticed mild burning sensation the first two times I used it.
